As the Talent Management leader, you will be …
Responsible for all aspects of SHRM’s talent pipeline and talent acquisition programs.
Responsible for all aspects of SHRM’s performance management and mobility programs.
Responsible for coordinating closely with Diversity and Inclusion initiatives to ensure that SHRM is a world-class diversity talent acquisition model.
Design, development and the deliver the talent review process that is required to achieve operating goals, effective succession planning programs, and create an internal bench of top talent.
Partners successfully with other HR team members to achieve goals and deliver on accountabilities, driving consistency across business units, functional areas, etc.
Continuously enhances the programs, systems, processes, policies and tools related to talent management, performance management, and mobility.
Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge in industry best practices through industry interaction and building external networks
Assures that organization-wide performance management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
Develops, initiates, and maintains effective programs for workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning.
Manages the maintenance and execution of the Performance Management System, including standards of performance, and performance evaluation instruments.
Serves as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction.
Use social media tools in advertising and branding opportunities for SHRM and affiliates (Twitter, Linked-in, Facebook, blogging, etc.).

Knowledge of employment law and regulations especially as they pertain to hiring and performance management.
Knowledge of performance management and measurement concepts and techniques.
Superior verbal and written communication skills. Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills. Public speaking skills a plus.
Demonstrate a high sense of urgency in filling vacancies. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to switch gears and focus quickly. Excellent time management/project management skills.
Strong relationship management skills; ability to provide consultative advice to business leaders, and to interact with senior leaders.
Ability to capture metrics and producing various employment reports.
Knowledge of industry benchmarking practices through industry interaction and building external networks;
Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision. Ability to plan projects, develop milestones and meet specific deadlines.
This is what you will need to bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. Masters’ preferred. SHRM-CP/SCP preferred, but not required (if not, must obtain within first year of employment)
7-years broad HR experience with designing, developing and supporting organization-wide talent management programs and processes covering performance management, talent development, coaching, mentoring, succession planning processes and tools, data analytics and relationship management
3-years of progressive experience in the management and deployment of diversity and inclusion initiatives for a global organization and/or association.
Experience in recruiting all discipline areas (i.e. business, marketing, technical, and sales); as well as hiring non-exempt and exempt level positions.
Experience capturing metrics and producing various employment reports.
Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings; as well as conducting open houses and virtual job fairs.
Experience in working with applicant tracking systems and affirmative action plan requirements.
Experience leading a team.
