SHRM Intern, Technology in Alexandria, Virginia
SHRM offers a summer internship program that is designed to give students valuable experience in a professional setting while exploring a career with member associations. This internship is for full-time students enrolled in an accredited university.
The Intern, Technology position is responsible for assisting with the support and maintenance of information technologies for SHRM and its affiliates. An emphasis is placed on learning and enhancing technology skills. This position will work on small tasks and larger projects that will offer exposure to various technical perspectives, technologies, and troubleshooting procedures.
Ability to research and obtain information is required as well as an ability to troubleshoot and complete steps necessary to resolve an issue or complete a project in entirety.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows & Office Suite is helpful along with a working knowledge of Apple’s macOS.
- Full time students enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in MIS, IT, IS or a technology related field.
SHRM's Summer Intern program is for actively enrolled students pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD. Recent graduates will not be considered.
Interns are not provided housing or transportation/parking benefits.
Start Date: Wednesday, May 30th, 2018
Salary: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour, dependent upon degree level.

Summary of Department
The Technology Infrastructure Services department is responsible for the ongoing information technology operations of SHRM and its affiliates. This includes the budgeting, design, implementation, and ongoing support of all hardware and software infrastructure (both desktop and server), networking (wired and wireless), telephony (VoIP and cellular), applications (on premise and hosted), security, and remote access.
