The Society for Human Resource Management is looking for a smart, energetic individual to join its certification team as the Certification Relations Specialist – Chapters. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, to expand SHRM's certification footprint within SHRM’s chapter communities.
YOUR TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:
Implementing and managing community engagement and outreach strategies for SHRM chapters.
Building, maintaining, and maturing relationships with key chapter contacts in order to create alliances and provide guidance, council and direction on ways to expand certification program participation in their communities.
Serving as a point of contact, and business partner with internal stakeholder units, (i.e. certification operations, marketing and communications, publications, etc.), to support and assist with organizational level initiatives, programs and activities focused on heightening certification program awareness, acceptance, adoption and growth.
Working with chapter Field Service Directors to identify and partner on community engagement/outreach opportunities.
Representing certification interests at related events, participate in chapter meetings, conduct presentations or speeches, and serve on panels as necessary to provide on-going access to education on certification and its related products and services.
Tracking, monitoring and evaluating engagement activities in order to assess impact, and recommend areas of growth and future opportunity.
Performing administrative duties as needed to support community related business processes and to ensure proper upkeep of certification records and reports.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST BRING TO THE TABLE:
High school diploma or equivalent, with 7 years of work experience in community outreach/engagement or professional association. Bachelor’s degree in HR, community engagement, or other related fields preferred.
Experience working with professional associations or in community outreach/engagement function preferred.
SHRM Certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) or must be obtained within first year of employment.
